How We Selected the Best AWP Skins

In this guide, “best” means popular by sales value: the amount of money generated by a skin's sales in a week. The selection includes regular versions across all wear levels, excluding StatTrak™. This is not a ranking of designs or a list of the skins with the most transactions; this approach avoids narrowing the selection to cheap items used in trade-up contracts.

Prices are the median Steam sale prices over seven days as of October 1, 2026; they fluctuate. “From” refers to the cheapest regular listing with sales, not the price of every example of that finish. That is why the wear level is listed alongside it. Sales figures in the main tables cover all wear levels of the regular version, while the comparison of versions below refers to specific listings.

The more sales there are, the closer the price reference is likely to be to the market price, and the faster a sale will usually go through. But sales figures do not show how many suitable items are currently listed, so you still need to assess each listing individually. The full list and prices for comparison are available in the AWP Wiki.

AWP Skins Under $5

The lowest price bracket includes finishes from three rarity tiers and five different collections. AWP | Worm God has the lowest starting price and the most sales among the five skins. AWP | Mortis is next in sales activity, despite belonging to a higher rarity tier.

AWP | Ice Coaled and AWP | Mortis offer Classified finishes in the same budget as less rare options. AWP | Black Nile is from The Anubis Collection, while AWP | Black Box is from The Spy Tech Collection. We recommend comparing wear first if you have a strict budget: two skins start at Field-Tested, while the others start at Battle-Scarred. The same budget does not guarantee the same condition.

Finishes from $5 to $50

This category includes four Covert skins and one Classified skin — AWP | The End from The Achroma Collection. It has the lowest starting price and the most sales among the five skins. AWP | Chrome Cannon from The Kilowatt Collection is next in sales activity.

AWP | Queen's Gambit, AWP | Neo-Noir, and AWP | Chromatic Aberration come from different collections, but have lower sales activity than the top two skins. If you haven't settled on a design, we recommend starting your comparison with AWP | The End and AWP | Chrome Cannon: they have more sales, so their prices reflect a more active market. That does not make the other finishes any worse.

Skins from $50 to $500

AWP | Printstream from The Fever Collection stands out in this group for its sales volume. The other four finishes have noticeably fewer sales, despite their higher starting prices. We recommend looking at market activity as well as price in this category.

AWP | Sovereign Flame and AWP | Man-o'-war are Covert, while AWP | BOOM and AWP | Graphite are Classified. Higher rarity alone does not determine price. Wear also differs: the table shows AWP | Graphite in Factory New condition and AWP | Printstream in Well-Worn. Comparing their prices without this column would be misleading.

Over $500: Fade and Lightning Strike

The top price bracket includes two Covert finishes: AWP | Fade from The Control Collection and AWP | Lightning Strike from The Arms Deal Collection. Both are shown in Factory New condition. There are few sales, so this price reference should be treated with more caution than figures for more frequently traded skins.

SkinRarityPrice fromWearCollectionSales in the past week
AWP | FadeAWP | FadeCovert$783Factory NewThe Control Collection4
AWP | Lightning StrikeAWP | Lightning StrikeCovert$600Factory NewThe Arms Deal Collection12

Among items with sales in the week leading up to October 1, 2026, the most expensive AWP skin is AWP | Fade in Factory New condition. This is not a claim that it is the most expensive example in existence. AWP | Lightning Strike has more sales and a lower starting price, but both skins are far less active than the cheaper picks in this selection.

How to Choose Without Overpaying for Wear or a Version

We recommend setting a budget first, then choosing a finish, and only after that comparing its wear and versions. The starting price shows where the options begin, but not what the condition you want will cost. This is especially noticeable when you move up to Factory New or StatTrak™.

Wear is a Float range: a value from 0 to 1 assigned to a skin when it drops and unchanged afterward. The lower the Float, the cleaner the finish; within the same wear level, items with lower Float are usually more expensive. See our Float guide for how to check it before buying.

How Much Does Chrome Cannon Cost in Different Wear Levels?

AWP | Chrome Cannon has a Float range of 0 to 1. The table below shows the same skin in several conditions and two versions, so the differences are not mixed up with prices for other finishes.

WearVersionPriceSales in the past week
Battle-ScarredRegular$28369
Battle-ScarredStatTrak™$3089
Field-TestedRegular$31597
Field-TestedStatTrak™$4266
Minimal WearRegular$38363
Minimal WearStatTrak™$6631
Factory NewRegular$7848
Factory NewStatTrak™$1784

For the conditions shown, the StatTrak™ version costs more than the regular version and has fewer sales. So a skin's overall activity does not necessarily reflect the activity of each individual listing. You should also check whether StatTrak™ is available for the finish you want: the Caseway Wiki lists this version for 28 of 52 AWP skins.

Comparing Prices on Steam and Other Marketplaces

We recommend comparing prices on the page listing all AWP skins, matching like for like: the same finish, wear level, and version. The price of a regular Battle-Scarred item is not a useful benchmark for a StatTrak™ Factory New one.

Frequently Asked Questions

Popularity by number of transactions, sales value, and highest price are different metrics. The answers below specify what is being compared.

What is the most popular AWP skin?

AWP | Arsenic Spill leads in sales of regular versions across all wear levels, with 9,890 sales in the week leading up to October 1, 2026. The selection above is based on sales value, so it does not have to match the ranking by number of transactions.

What is the most expensive AWP skin?

Among items with sales in the week leading up to October 1, 2026, the most expensive is AWP | Fade in Factory New condition. Its price is shown in the table for the over-$500 category. This applies to items that actually sold, not every listing available.

Which AWP skins cost less than $5?

The selection includes AWP | Ice Coaled, AWP | Mortis, AWP | Worm God, AWP | Black Nile, and AWP | Black Box. The first two and the last start at Battle-Scarred, while the others start at Field-Tested. Another wear level or version of the same skin may exceed this budget.

Do AWP skins have StatTrak™ versions?

Yes. The Caseway Wiki lists StatTrak™ versions for 28 of 52 AWP skins. One example is AWP | Chrome Cannon, with regular and StatTrak™ listings in the same wear levels shown above. Check each finish to see whether the version is available.
