The October 14, 2026 update added a progress bar to demo and replay downloads, so you can see how they’re coming along. It also fixed minor issues when jumping to a different point in a recording.
Pause the action and inspect it with the camera
Camera controls now use click-and-drag. You can use Free Camera and Chase Camera while a demo is paused, so you no longer have to resume playback just to inspect a moment.
AUG animations adjusted, server backup rules changed
The AUG’s standing and crouching reload animations have been updated to better match its new reload time. The patch doesn’t announce a separate change to reload speed.
- Round backup files now require the -allow_round_backup_files game server launch flag. If you run a server that uses these backups, check its launch options.
- Allowed radio commands are now defined in an explicit list.
- The utility material toolsskybox_occluder has been added to CS2 Workshop Tools.
- Vulkan rendering has received stability improvements.
