SunPayus leaves G2: r1nkle is already in, FUT move unconfirmed

Leaving the club after being moved to the bench

According to HLTV, G2 officially announced its split with SunPayus on September 29, 2026. This marks the end of his time with the organization, not a new change to the active five: he was moved to the bench on June 25, and r1nkle joined from Ninjas in Pyjamas as his replacement.

On Liquipedia, the September 29 entry in G2’s roster history describes SunPayus as having been acquired by an unnamed organization. This is consistent with his departure from G2, but does not confirm that FUT Esports was the organization. HLTV cites reports linking the Spaniard with the Turkish club.

G2 continues to play with r1nkle and captain huNter-

Since the June roster change, G2’s active lineup has consisted of huNter-, HeavyGod, matys, NertZ, and r1nkle. huNter- remains the captain, and sAw is the team’s head coach. SunPayus’s departure in September does not change the lineup.

huNter- is the longest-serving member of this lineup, having played for G2 since September 30, 2019. HeavyGod joined on January 11, 2025, and matys arrived from Fnatic on July 18 that year. NertZ and r1nkle joined in 2026. On the coaching staff, sAw is assisted by sheddaN, who was signed as an assistant when matys joined.

This year, G2 won Stake Ranked Episode 1 on April 4 and reached the final of FISSURE Playground #3 on September 13. The April win came before SunPayus was replaced; the September final came after r1nkle joined.

FUT Esports’ current lineup and history

FUT Esports is a Turkish organization formerly known as Futbolist. According to Liquipedia, its active lineup consists of dem0n, Krabeni, cmtry, dziugss, and xfl0ud. Krabeni is the team’s captain, coolio is the head coach, and trochu is the assistant coach. SunPayus is not listed on the roster.

The core of FUT’s current lineup was formed on August 1, 2025, when the club acquired the Natus Vincere Junior roster: dem0n, Krabeni, cmtry, and dziugss, along with coach coolio. misutaaa was the only player retained from the previous lineup, but he was moved to the bench on August 22 and replaced by lauNX from Nexus Gaming. misutaaa later joined GenOne.

In 2026, FUT parted ways with zander on January 9 and appointed trochu as assistant coach on February 13. The latest confirmed change to the playing lineup came on July 7, when xfl0ud joined from HEROIC to replace lauNX. lauNX has been inactive since then.

FUT also posted notable results this year: a win at PGL Bucharest 2026 on April 11 and a place in the final of Esports World Cup 2026 on August 23. The Esports World Cup final took place after xfl0ud joined.
