How the Dota 2 Tournament Year Works
The tournament year ends with The International in August–September. It’s therefore easier to follow the season from one International to the next, rather than from January to December: fall events kick off a new cycle, and the summer International brings it to a close.
Major tournaments run as series, including BLAST SLAM, DreamLeague, PGL Wallachia, FISSURE, ESL One, and Esports World Cup. The calendar and results below cover top-tier events — Tier 1 tournaments according to Liquipedia. This makes it possible to compare results within the same tier, without mixing them with other events.
Series have separate editions, so check the event name alongside its number or year. For example, BLAST SLAM VIII and BLAST SLAM IX are different Dota 2 tournaments, and DreamLeague Season 30 and DreamLeague Season 31 occupy different slots in the schedule.

The prize pool for Clavision x Dota PIT Masters 2027 has not yet been announced, and the calendar shown here does not list its team count.
PGL Wallachia has the largest announced prize pools in this calendar.
The dates for The International 2027 are not yet listed in Liquipedia’s published calendar. Don’t treat the usual August–September season finale as a confirmed schedule for the next International.

Tundra Esports won the most titles during the season, but Team Spirit won The International. These are different measures: the team with the most wins across the listed tournaments was not the winner of the season’s premier closing event.
The International 2026 had the largest total prize pool, followed by Esports World Cup 2026. Every other tournament in the table, except 1win Essence II, had a $1,000,000 prize pool. A tournament’s prize pool covers the entire event, not just the payout to the first-place team.
Season standings: titles and grand final appearances
By the number of listed tournaments won, Tundra Esports led the season. This is a comparison of results from a completed season, not a prediction for upcoming matches. It’s also worth considering the win at The International and finals that did not end in a title.

Tundra Esports — four wins; Team Yandex — three
Tundra Esports won BLAST SLAM IV, BLAST SLAM V, DreamLeague Season 28, and ESL One Birmingham 2026. In June 2026, the organization left Dota 2. Its roster moved to 1win Team and competed at The International 2026 as Iron Wing. Team Yandex has three titles: DreamLeague Season 27, PGL Wallachia Season 7, and BLAST SLAM VII. These two teams lead the list for wins at the tournaments covered here.
PARIVISION and Team Liquid — two titles each
PARIVISION won DreamLeague Season 29 and Esports World Cup 2026. Team Liquid won BLAST SLAM VI and 1win Essence II. They have the same number of titles, but the tournaments and their prize pools differ — the number of wins alone doesn’t make these results equivalent.
Team Falcons, MOUZ, BetBoom Team, and Team Spirit each won one tournament. Their wins came at FISSURE PLAYGROUND 2, PGL Wallachia Season 6, PGL Wallachia Season 8, and The International 2026, respectively.
Aurora Gaming — three grand final appearances without a win
Aurora Gaming finished second three times: at DreamLeague Season 28, PGL Wallachia Season 8, and DreamLeague Season 29. The team won none of those finals. That’s a notable record of grand final appearances, but it isn’t reflected in the list of title winners.
Before winning The International, Team Spirit lost two finals: PGL Wallachia Season 6 and DreamLeague Season 27.
Where to Follow the Schedule and Results
Follow tournament announcements and news in Caseway’s Dota 2 section. For the history of the premier tournament, all its winners, and its prize pools, see the “The International Dota 2” guide.
You can check the schedule, tournament tier, and results against Liquipedia’s list of Tier 1 tournaments.
When looking up the schedule, use the full event name: for example, DreamLeague Season 31 rather than just DreamLeague. This makes it easier to distinguish an upcoming tournament from results from previous seasons.
