How FaZe ended up in the lower bracket
FaZe got off to a strong start in the playoffs, though both of their first matches on October 21 went to a decider: they beat Envy 2-1 and HEROIC 2-1. Then they lost 1-2 to JiJieHao and dropped to the lower bracket, where BC.Game knocked them out. Envy and HEROIC also exited the tournament, while SINNERS, Eternal Fire, JiJieHao, and BC.Game made the top four.
The loss hurts FaZe's chances of making the Major. According to HLTV's assessment, everything now comes down to RLG Tesla Cup. A top-three finish there will likely earn the team a spot. BC.Game have already received a Major invite through the Asian route.
